The purpose of this website is to help you pass your Economics exam.

At this stage, the site focuses on helping students who are studying a course that makes use of the following text book for microeconomics or macroeconomics:

Mohr, P. & associates. 2015. Economics for South African Students. 5th Edition. Pretoria: Van Schaik Publishers

A more recent edition of the above textbook (which focuses only on Microeconomics) can also be used as a reference:

Mohr P, Seymore R, Yu D. 2018. Understanding Microeconomics. 2nd Edition. Pretoria: Van Schaik Publishers

Although the website is primarily aimed at assisting UNISA students (specifically students enrolled for the courses listed below), any student making use of the above-mentioned textbooks will benefit from using this website.

The website creator, Craig Fortuin, is a well-known lecturer who has extensive knowledge of the contents of the above-mentioned text book (and its predecessor, the 4th Edition). Craig has a B.Econ degree and Higher Diploma in Education from Stellenbosch University. He was a lecturer on B.Comm and IMM programmes at Varsity College from 2006-2013, and was awarded the prestigious IIE Dr Charles Freysen Teaching Excellence Award in 2012. With a passion for learning and teaching Economics, Craig has created memos for every single ECS1501 and ECS1601 exam since 2006, and the questions, answers and explanations form the basis of the online resources available here.
